Established in 1986, College Prospects of America is the largest consulting and marketing service for high school student athletes in the world. We provide guidance, experience and visibility to help student-athletes through the recruiting and financial aid process.
Our goal is to help talented young people from Saskatchewan or Manitoba get the best education at the best possible price, while allowing them to continue to participate in a sport they love. CPOA has helped over 36,000 athletes achieve their dream of participating in college sports while finding financial aid.
More than 90% of kids who enter the CPOA program receive multiple athletic offers and 85% are playing in their sport at the collegiate level.
Qualified student athletes are marketed directly to the 18,000 Division I, II, III, NAIA and Junior College coaches in 50 States, and to Canadian universities and colleges, looking to complete team rosters and fill scholarships. We also help students and their families understand what questions to ask the coach, NCAA rules, clearinghouse regulations, complete financial aid forms and how to negotiate scholarship packages. THE CPOA MARKETING AND CONSULTING PROGRAM
CPOA's formula is simple but successful -- we first offer exposure to the student-athlete, then offer guidance though the recruiting and financial aid process, which with CPOA's experience, will result in a scholarship and/or playing opportunity at the collegiate level.
A Student-Athlete's information is mailed to as many schools as they are qualified to attend academically and athletically. Updates are mailed after each season and an online update is created. Each college will determine if the student fits the academic as well as athletic profile targeted by the school and the individual College Coach. Once interested, multiple schools will begin to recruit the qualified Student-Athlete. CPOA then helps the student-athlete and families understand what questions to ask the coaches, to leverage scholarship opportunities, and to navigate the financial aid process.
By marketing to as many schools as possible, CPOA creates choices for the student-athlete -- choice of educational experience and scholarship opportunities. The more choices, the more leverage, the more opportunity to find the right college, right educational and athletic experience, at the right price.
