We're still looking for an effective template that will encourage more direct purchases, but we feel we've moved forward somewhat with this look. More books and music go out the door daily to people and homes that want to absorb the ideas and knowledge, or just the great entertainment, in the case of the music and movies or book thrillers. I am able to glean a few ideas or learnings too from most every item that leaves. So everyone benefits. It's my daily education and new learning too.

I've started to lookout for cool cars from my recent and distant past. Looking back with fondness and wistfulness, not necessarily total rationality, is something we boomers do very well, as all marketers know. Here's one list I saw today. My experience the hunt is as much fun as the driving.
Recently the book "Finding the Fountain of Youth Inside Yourself" by Shad Helmstetter (ISBN 0671746200) left for a better home. Search for it or similar gently used and nearly new books, music and movies here or to the left on this site.
Helmstetter's message to those of us who feel that we might have lost our way a bit over the years is that we need to need to recapture our "inner youth" and rediscover our enthusiasm for life. I always have a bit of time for good pop psychology. Most of us can take some thoughts from someone else and see where they might apply. Where I stop is some wholehearted devotion to a particular author, psychologist or belief. I'm more electic and a mix and match type of person. However, something or somethings, (a book or books, a series of events, an inspiring message) have to get us out of our ruts of life if that's what we want. Most of us do. We just don't or can't seem to get started effectively. Try again. Once moving, the intertia is strong.
